Overview
As technology advances, cigarette manufacturers strictly control appearance defects in packaging, and conventional photoelectric-sensor inspection can no longer meet on-site requirements. Camera-based technology enables far more comprehensive target inspection of appearance.
This system adopts a camera plus image controller plus PC image-processing software architecture, breaking free from rigid hardware and passive software use. The PC image-processing software can be continuously upgraded and optimized at the algorithm level, offering excellent flexibility and adaptability to meet complex inspection requirements with stable, reliable and convenient performance.
Key Advantages Over Conventional Products
The system improves on conventional photoelectric inspection in five ways.
Fully self-developed software with a friendly interface, simple operation and free lifetime upgrades
High-speed DSP processing technology with much faster computation and support for complex algorithms
Stroboscopic LED illumination with low decay and long service life
Non-contact inspection that greatly extends product service life
Easy installation and simple commissioning
Main Functions
The system inspects three critical tipping paper features.
Detects the presence of brand characters on tipping paper
Detects blurred or incorrect brand characters
Detects the presence of laser perforations
How It Works
An ultra-high-speed camera captures fast-moving characters on the tipping paper; a dual-core high-speed DSP processor geometrically normalizes character size for consistency, and the core software performs recognition and positioning. High-brightness LED illumination achieves a camera exposure time of50 microseconds, with dispersion technology enabling ultra-high-speed operation. A standard Ethernet connection to the industrial PC enables real-time image transmission, and our independently developed IPC operating software allows camera configuration and query.
