Overview
Loose or wrinkled film at both ends of soft packs has long been a difficult quality problem for cigarette manufacturers. There are two main causes: static electricity in the material that disrupts film feeding, and worn or misadjusted machine parts that cause irregular film folding; abnormal channel iron temperatures can also cause loose or wrinkled film at the ends and sides. At high machine speeds, operators can hardly detect and control end loose-pack defects, and defective packs frequently reach the market, damaging product reputation.
Based on the characteristics of end film loose-pack defects, we developed, with independent intellectual property, a both-ends film vision inspection device using image processing technology. Equipped with3 high-speed scanning cameras, a line-shaped laser source and LED illumination, it effectively performs online quality control of soft-pack film loose-pack defects, helping cigarette factories resolve quality problems online with significant practical value.
