Overview
As cigarette manufacturers demand ever-better packaging aesthetics and anti-counterfeiting performance, color film is gradually replacing ordinary transparent film as the outer packaging material, and major Chinese cigarette factories have launched color-film cigarettes. During production, mechanical deviations and other factors can prevent the printed pattern on color film from wrapping the pack in the correct position, causing defects such as film misalignment and skew that seriously affect packaging quality.
We successfully developed the soft-pack color-film quality inspection:2 high-speed color cameras with LED illumination, using mature high-speed image processing technology and advanced software algorithms, comprehensively detect color-film misalignment, skew and other defects during production and reject defective packs online, achieving quality control of color-film packaging and safeguarding product quality.
